A medical herbalist practicing in Queensland, Australia and the principal of the Australian College of Phytotherapy is Assoc. Prof. Kerry Bone BSc (Hons), Dip Phyto, FNIMH, FNHAA, AHG, MCPP, FANTA.
Kerry Bone is an experienced research and industrial chemist, who graduated with first class honours from Melbourne University and won the Masson Memorial Prize as Australia’s top chemistry student. He studied herbal medicine at the renowned School of Phytotherapy in the UK, and graduated with distinction in 1983.
From 1985 to 1992, Kerry was a senior lecturer in herbal medicine at the Brisbane College of Traditional Acupuncture and Natural Medicine and then the Australian College of Natural Medicine.
Since 1994 he has been a frequent guest lecturer at the UK School of Phytotherapy. Kerry is a Fellow of both the National Herbalists Association of Australia and the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK).
He has been appointed Associate Professor in the School of Health at the University of New England. Kerry Bone is the co-author of Principles and Practice of Phytotherapy: Modern Herbal Medicine. He is director of research and development for MediHerb, Inc.
