Do not complain is a mandate from God. Complaining is a sin and the sin nature’s number one pop-off valve. Complaining and serving the Lord with a superabundance of happiness are mutually exclusive. “Do all things without complaining or arguments so that you will prove yourself to be blameless and innocent children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world” (Phil 2:14-15). You can’t be a light without the filling of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in your soul. The attractiveness of God’s Word is the light. Do not complain. “You are a letter from the Lord Jesus Christ to the lost world” (2 Cor 3:3). Shine.
