Do You Need a SNES Classic?
Description
The short answer is yes. Hosts J.R. Cox and Justin Smith can hardly find fault in the SNES Classic. Justin, an English teacher in Japan, laments Nintendo's choice to trickle the console out making it so difficult for many to procure. Voice actor J.R. actually liked that perplexing marketing decision because it made it all the more satisfying to play after the adventure he went through buying it. Of course, those that grew up playing the games of Nintendo in the early 90s are going to enjoy the blast from the past, even if they haven't played games in years. Video game historians will also be fascinated by some of the curiosities included in the package like the never before released Star Fox 2. Interestingly, J.R. discovered over the holidays playing with his young nieces that even they appreciated playing the foundations upon which modern games have been built. There's just no denying the Super Nintendo's legacy is one of fun, no matter how old it gets.
