Midweek Service: Salvation is not earned by our good works or right behavior but is a gift from God received through faith in Jesus Christ. While behavior does not determine salvation, genuine salvation produces transformation, freeing us from the power of sin and leading us into a new life of righteousness. True believers don't use grace as an excuse to keep sinning; rather, they live in a way that reflects their new identity in Christ. Persisting in a lifestyle of sin shows a lack of a genuine relationship with God, while practicing righteousness demonstrates the evidence of being children of God. Salvation is by grace through faith, but authentic faith results in a changed life that honors God.
