Questions to ask when you go to a shelter/rescue to look at dogs to adopt

• Where is this dog or these dogs from?  USA?  Imported from another country?  Another shelter/rescue?


• How long has it been at this shelter?


• Does this dog any special needs, health, or parasite issues?  Any current or ongoing medications?


• Has this dog shown any aggression or have any bite history? (some states like California require disclosure)


• Has this dog been adopted out and returned?    If so, in what time frame?
