It's a disconcerting topic, if I'm honest: nursing professional boundaries.  While there are certainly a few psychopaths amongst us in the nursing and midwifery profession, research tells us they are few and far between.  So, therefore, it stands to reason that while it happens, none of us go out of our way to violate our nursing professional boundaries. Yes, as the fabulous Dr Wendy McIntosh reveals to us, sometimes it's hard to know how our gestures, words and actions can be perceived by others until we see them played out before us.
