Dr. Ethan Greene has been the Director of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) for almost 20 years and has worked with snow and avalanches since 1990. He has an undergraduate degree in Meteorology, a Master's in Atmospheric Science, and a PhD in Geoscience, with over 45 publications in the snow science world in addition to writing two books.
Before working at CAIC, Dr. Greene worked as a backcountry avalanche forecaster at the Utah Avalanche Center and has been a lifelong, avid backcountry skier.
