The short humorously subverts the family-friendly tone of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993–1998), which starred Jane Seymour as a compassionate doctor in the Old West. In Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman, Dr. Quinn has turned to prescribing morphine, cocaine, and whiskey, addicting the entire town. The parody mimics Breaking Bad’s visual and narrative style, with Quinn adopting a Walter White-esque persona, complete with dramatic close-ups and a drug-lord attitude.
