Their defense was exceptional, conceding more than one goal in only three games and achieving seven shutouts.In the postseason, they dominated California in the ACC Tournament and overcame Iowa in the NCAA Tournament, marking head coach Pam Bustins 350th career win. Senior Alaina McVeigh led the offense with 15 goals and 9 assists. However, their season ended in the national championship quarterfinals against North Carolina, their archrival, who won 2-1 in overtime.
