Recorded on June 8, 2025, at Heart Pond, this is the sound of late spring at blue hour. As the light fades, the first dusk-singing cicadas of the season begin their pulsating drone, joined by the calls of Barking Tree Frogs, Fowler’s Toads and Southern Cricket Frogs. Their layered chorus captures the shift from day to night in a humid Southern landscape.
