E14 Dustin Morrow
Description
This episode features tenured professor Dustin Morrow with Portland State’s Film Program. Also a writer, director, editor, and podcaster. Dustin was instrumental in developing the Film Program as the largest in the Pacific Northwest.
We talk about the growth of Portland State’s Film program over the last decade and how important this program is to the ecosystem of Oregon Independent Film. You’ll also hear about how his love of film developed in a small town in Illinois, leading him to Portland via Iowa, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. His enthusiasm for 1980’s film inspired a podcast, and his knowledge of genre films inspires his film students. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Dustin Morrow.
