We use measurement in our everyday lives. Think about the simple task of making your dinner for the evening. You use weight and capacity to determine how many ingredients to put into the meal you are preparing. It is an essential skill that we use every day, and it is an integral unit that we need to teach our students. Measurement is also one of the most fun and engaging units in math. There are so many different hands-on activities that you can use with your students to measure objects in the classroom.
