Canelo Alvarez also let us down. But that’s not truly his fault. William Scull fought like a coward all night. Canelo Alvarez hasn’t been great in his last few fights. But this fight was him trying to fight a track star that didn’t want to fight. The fact that William Scull even had a title was atrocious. Now we look forward to Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford.

Finally, Naoya Inoue and Ramon Cardenas put on a real show. After dropping his foe in the first round, all eyes were put on Ramon Cardenas. But “The Monster” could not be denied. Naoya Inoue settled in and worked Cardenas down. It was the eighth round that Naoya Inoue finally put Ramon Cardenas away.
