You got one major fact wrong. Altho Atkins talked for years about personally killing Sharon, Watkins later admitted that it was he who stabbed her to death. They've all said since that Atkins was a congenital liar & braggart who was always putting herself at the center of stories. Watkins now takes complete blame for killing all the victims & appears to have sincere remorse. However, it's clear that if anyone truly deserved the death penalty, it was him. And Manson, of course, who brainwashed them all into doing his dirty work.
