Description

In Episode 282, I sit down with Chris Vasil and Bilal Hasan — two local professional fighters out of Charlie's Combat Club here in Everett, WA, who also cross-train at my jiu-jitsu academy. When I was younger, I trained for many years with their head coach, Charlie Pearson, and our gyms have always shared a great relationship.

We had a really fun conversation diving deep into each of their journeys in the world of professional MMA. As you can imagine, pro fighters tend to be fun, wild dudes — and this episode definitely reflects that energy! We talked about their training, mindset, and what life as a fighter really looks like. Both Chris and Bilal are exceptional athletes and competitors, but more importantly, they're great human beings.

Bilal is a young up-and-comer, and I'm confident you'll see him in the UFC before long. I really enjoyed sitting down with these guys, and we've already agreed they'll be regular guests on the show.
