Julie Dirksen, author of Talk to the Elephant, describes what may be a missing aspect of the instructional design process: a way to implement a systems thinking approach for changing behaviors. We discuss a behavior change model, COM-B, and walk through a scenario to demonstrate its use.



Julie is also the author of Design for How People Learn. She is a learning strategist, consultant, and instructional designer at Usable Learning, creating highly interactive learning experiences for a wide range of clients.
