Leslie Vaughn shares her incredible story of determination and resiliency, starting at the chapter when she suffered a severe head trauma and spinal cord injury, leaving her paralyzed from the waistline down. Leslie was only 20 years old when the accident took place. Her friend was driving while intoxicated and drove through a red light. Then, in an instance, the life she thought she would have was forever changed. Throughout her story, you will hear what those first days, weeks and years had been. Now, 24 years later, she is fulfilling her dream of becoming a licensed professional counselor, helping others with disabilities heal, grow, thrive, and succeed.
