Description
Joanne Kaminski
– College Financial Aid and Career Navigation with Tom & Maria Geffers and Seth Greene Episode 040 Joanne Kaminski
Joanne Kaminski spent three years as a classroom teacher and was quickly promoted to the Reading Curriculum Coordinator. As the Coordinator, she was in charge of all the reading interventions in the school and coached the teachers in reading strategies that would help bring their students to the next level. Joanne fell in love with teaching reading and went back to school to get her masters as a Reading Specialist so that she could help develop the most successful Reading programs for the readers of her school. As Joanne developed those skills, she became frustrated that most of her time was spent on classroom management coaching vs. reading instruction.
In an effort to be more present for her own children, Joanne started her own online reading tutoring business. She didn't follow the traditional method of starting an online tutoring company, which she believes has led her to the success that she now has. Joanne has worked with students in Australia, London, Canada, Dominican Republic and kids from the West coast to the East Coast in the US. and has been booked solid several times throughout the years.
Joanne has now dedicated her life to teaching other people how to start an independent online tutoring business. She then helps them book their own online tutoring business solid so that they can be more present for their families and have the freedom and flexibility that they could have only once dreamed of. Joanne has created several programs to help other tutors start their online tutoring business.
