The late 2010s saw the emergence of a niche genre for purely digital art works that can be bought, sold and collected through blockchain networks. What is a blockchain network? Long story short: a transaction ledger for a cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) What does this mean and why is it a game changer for the art world? No more paperwork for sellers!
