Dr Ernst De Mooij is a professor of physical science in DCU and one of the leading astronomers researching exo-planets which are planets outside of our solar system. Ernst completed his bachelor, masters and PHD in Astronomy in the university of Leiden in the Netherlands. He then spent three years doing post-doctoral research in the University of Toronto before spending two years involved in outreach projects and researching in Queens University Belfast. In this episode we discuss the possibility of humans inhabiting mars in the future, the huge effect global warming has had on the planet, rocket launch fatalities and disasters and big ass fucking telescopes.
