EP42 Lost in Time: The Mary Boyle case with lecturer and solicitor Cormac Conaghan
Description
Donegal native Cormac talks us through what is considered Ireland's longest running missing person case.
In March 1977, six-year-old Mary Boyle vanished without a trace from her grandparents’ remote farm in Cashelard, near Ballyshannon, County Donegal. Despite one of the largest searches in Irish history involving locals, Gardaí and the army no trace of Mary was ever found.
Her disappearance became Ireland’s longest-running missing child case. Over the decades, the case has been clouded by allegations of political interference, mishandled investigations, and claims of a cover-up. For nearly 50 years, Mary’s family especially her twin sister, Ann has campaigned for answers, justice, and the truth about what really happened.
