Taylor Hamby is an Orange County Historian of sorts. She’s the owner of Sputnik’s Curiosities, a vintage shop specializing in Retro, Steampunk and Victorian-era clothing and costumes in Costa Mesa. She travels all over searching for goodies for her store, which has become popular even though it’s appointment only.
She’s also a Staff Writer for OC Weekly, where she covers the Orange County of old for her column “Yesternow.” We met her at Sputnik’s to record the podcast, to talk about how functionality turns into style, vintage shopping, overalls and more.
