Description
June Millington was the lead vocalist and lead guitarist of Fanny. Fanny is the first all-female rock band in the US to record major label albums. They were led by Filipino sisters, June and Jean Millington who emigrated to Northern California in the early 1960’s. Fanny went on to record four albums in the early to mid 70’s. David Bowie and John Lennon were friends and fans and bands like The Runaways, The Go-Go’s and the Bangles all sight Fanny as an influence and inspiration. This is a rock n roll story you’ve never heard before. ENJOY!
