- Rule of Cool:
- Is it cool enough looking to drop the points on it even though it is likely not earn its keep.
- Line Breakers:
- Is it a monster that will crush your opponents lines
- Target Priority redirects
- Look scary enough to pull your opponents attacks while your work the rest of your list
- Artillery
- Not all armies have artillery
- If your army does consider if it will work well with your list.
- Often as support to soften an opponent’s unit
- As a hero assassin (targeting and getting quick wounds on a key opponent hero
- Threat range to “psychologically” control tabletop
- Occasionally help get one of yours out of trouble
- Other Units
- Large Units
- An anvil: Withstand a lot of damage and can hold objectives
- Hammer: If a hard hitting unit, it can destroy your opponents units
- Caution: Some hammer units are “glass cannons” Hit hard but die fast.
- Combination: Can take a lot of damage and still hit hard. Usually expensive point cost, but very versatile.
- Small Units
- Chaff: Just a speed bump for your opponent
- quick objective capture.
- Hero assassin
- Summon/ambush deployment denial
