The European Union, EU is allocating an additional 1.2 million Euros to support a Red Cross response in Cuba and Jamaica, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa in October, which caused significant damage to both countries.


European Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made the announcement at a brief meeting with Minister of Efficiency Audrey Marks at Jamaica House in Kingston, this afternoon.
