Eagles Waive WR Gipson, Downgrade Hinton, Epps in Limbo
Update: 2025-12-07
Description
The Eagles made a roster move by waiving wide receiver Xavier Gipson, who had been with the team for a month and handled punt return duties. Gipsons departure opens a spot for the team. He was originally claimed off waivers and returned six punts for 67 yards in five games. After sustaining a shoulder injury, Britain Covey took over punt return duties. The team also downgraded rookie offensive tackle Myles Hinton to out for their upcoming game due to a back injury. Safety Marcus Epps, on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury, could potentially fill the newly opened roster spot.
