Description

It was a big week with the RBA August Board Meeting and a hawkish tone in the statement and the press conference. Gareth Aird, Head of Australian Economics and Belinda Allen, Senior Economist deep dive into the meeting as well as the forecast updates in the Statement on Monetary Policy. The week ahead is also busy with the release of July employment data as well as the June quarter Wage Price Index, both important for the interest rate outlook.
