David is a founder of Smokey Hawk Solitons and co-inventor of an electromagnetic soliton generator that is being developed for interplanetary transportation and sustainable propulsion in the Space environment. The electromagnetic soliton generator may change the conversation of Space exploration relating to speed, sustainability, and reliability of the propulsion system. David has a background in electrical engineering and aviation. He develops the technology with his brother and CTO Hunt Hawkins. David has an MBA from the University of Tennessee and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. He also has professional experience in patents in a wide range of other electrical technologies.
