Is there anyone else who totally forgot it was Ash Wednesday? Because I surely did. Thankfully, I have friends who remind me, and a dear friend sent me a text with a quote from one of her favorite writers, Frederick Buechner. In this quote, Buechner talks about Lent in a such a new way. He frames Lent as a period of time to reflect on who we are and becoming. He asks some hard questions that won't leave us feeling too great about ourselves, but I think that's the point. Give it a little listen, and lemme know what you think.
