They critique consumer culture’s focus on individual comfort and ease, advocating for a deeper, more connected sense of self grounded in meaning, purpose, and collective action. Drawing on spiritual embodiments of purpose, such as the Bodhisattva vow, Rebecca emphasizes that we already possess the strength to serve and protect, and that we already have enough to give without being diminished ourselves.
