Description

In this episode, we discuss the groundbreaking project led by Allysa Dittmar, Vice President of DeafHealth, in collaboration with Rochester Institute of Technology, focusing on Deaf American Sign Language Users in Virtual Healthcare. The project, supported by a $250,000 Engagement Award from PCORI, aims to address communication and health literacy challenges faced by the Deaf community. By forming a national Deaf Patient Coalition, diverse Deaf patient experiences will be captured to shape future patient-centered outcomes research, empowering the community with resources and knowledge for improved health outcomes.
