Before expanding into the restoration industry in 2017 and the technology industry in 2020, Spencer Suggs was the founder and operator of a mid-size carpet cleaning company called First Choice that successfully competed against the largest and most well-known brands in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Many of his early successes were directly attributed to the networking and relationship building efforts that he utilized to flourish in a hyper competitive, low-ticket space. Taking the learning lessons and relationships of the service industry, he moved into the niche industry of area rug cleaning and grew one of the largest and highest-rated rug cleaning plants in Texas called Simply Rug Cleaning. As his desire for expansion and scaling into the industries associated with the service industry continued to push him into other categories, he launched a cleaning solutions company called theory. and expanded into the emergency catastrophe industry of water, fire, and mold restoration with a company he co-founded by the name of RestoreNow.
