Math educators Hilda Wright and Joseph Lamb join Mario to give an overview of what student voice in math classes can look like. They share their thoughts on why it is harder to imagine what student voice can be like in math classrooms, what student voice really is, how student voice is different from traditional participation, and what needs to happen for student voice to thrive in math spaces. They also provide quick tips that you can use to start creating a safe space for student voice in your classroom. 

Hilda Wright is a Math Coordinator for Kern County Superintendent of Schools and the current California Mathematics Council-Central Section President. 

Joseph Lamb is a Math Consultant and the Network Co-Director of the California Central Valley Networked Improvement Communities.
