Ep 143 - What Does the Sheep and Goat Judgment Reveal? (Matthew 25:31-46)
Description
Does the Sheep and Goat judgment of Matthew 25:31-46 indicate a “genuine” believer will be known by their fruit?
Much of Scripture has been hijacked by wrong theology due to philosophical presuppositions, seeking to interpret passages from a Western mindset, and attempting to spiritualize or allegorize its meaning. When we understand the passage within the literary genre, cultural context, and surrounding context, we often discover that what we've heard doesn't match with what God's word actually says.
This is the case with Matthew 25:31-46, where some believe that “genuine” believers will be known by their works and if one doesn’t have good deeds, it’s evident they aren’t truly saved. But is that what the context of Matthew 25:31-46 is about?
This video discusses the context of which the Sheep and the Goat judgment is found, and what it really means.
