Dr. David Thompson received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Louisiana Tech University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1986. He earned his DVM degree  from Louisiana State University in 1989  and practiced as a small animal veterinarian for one year  before accepting a job with the <a href="https://www.fsis.usda.
