Tom believe’s that photography provides a level of intimacy between the photographer, the subject and the viewer that helps shrink cultural, racial and socioeconomic divides. In a world where the individual is more isolated than ever, the camera can help unite people, share truth and create more understanding in a society that seems to have a hard time finding common ground.
