Why should Apology and Forgiveness be a way of life? What does it mean and why do people exchange these Greetings?
JZ: People normally say ‘I am Sorry’. It is customary to apologise to everyone and ask for forgiveness. Forgiveness is important. Many people believe in nonviolence. On a gross level, it implies killing, and violence is not good. But on a subtle level, we do not want to hurt someone's feelings as well.
But asking for forgiveness is not enough!
K: Seeking forgiveness is good, it does not change the past but improves the future! But why do you say it is not enough, what more is required?
JZ: In addition to apologizing and asking for forgiveness it is necessary to also forgive others. It is a two-way process. To forgive others is even more difficult.
Scientific Meditation helps to improve memory but it also teaches us to forget and forgive someone’s mistake. I am trying but I know it is difficult.
K: Yes agreed, acceptance and tolerance and forgiveness, those are life-altering lessons. All that is nice and on the face of it, we all agree. However, when the time comes, when a situation arises, one tends to forget all that wise advice. How does one transform at the grass-root level? I mean is it possible to change a personality or behaviour?
JZ: Yes, by doing Green colour meditation on the Center of Purity one can increase tolerance power.
K: Where is the Center of Purity located?
JZ: Center of Purity is located at the Center of the chest near the heart. It is nothing but the Thymus gland. Fortunately, science corroborates this theory and now we know that hormones secreted by the endocrine system are responsible for urges and impulses.
By doing white colour meditation on the centre of the forehead one can develop the power of friendliness. I call it therapeutic thinking.
