On this episode, Kirk dives into the specific and symbolic elements that make up the National Monument, and reminds listeners of the forefathers’ original plan for the United States. There are many Americans who have taken up a spirit of 1776, and are ready to fight in another revolution for the future of this country, but war is not what we want or need. Instead of taking advice from 1776, we should take a lesson from Psalm 17:6, which tells us that the battle is the Lord’s. In this verse in Psalms, God’s soldiers in the army of compassion prove that the strength of an army and the effectiveness of weaponry is not enough to win the war and bring lasting change. Our mission is to bring heaven to earth, and the forefathers understood that they must approach this mission with a humble strategy and hearts set on God.
