Today’s episode will address the topic of masks and testing in light of the current pandemic. It’s very important to understand that these two topics are necessarily linked. You can’t really understand the necessity of mask behavior without also understanding the mechanics of the test that is used to detect SARS-hCoV-19 infections. So a considerable part of this episode will focus on testing of both types – PCR and antibody. Once that foundation is laid, we can come to a reasonable conclusion about what masks are for and how useful they are likely to be.
