Ep.030 (Year Finale): Arve Tellefsen
Description
For the 30th and final episode of the year, The Weekly Beat with Matoma closes out with something truly special: a reflective and inspiring conversation with one of Norway’s most celebrated cultural icons, violinist Arve Tellefsen. Known globally for his musical mastery and with a violin once valued at NOK 80 million, Arve brings a legacy of classical brilliance, humility, and humour to the studio.
This milestone episode documents an intergenerational collaboration between Matoma and Arve, as they come together to compose the closing track for the new animated reboot of Flåklypa, a beloved 1975 Norwegian film. Their dialogue spans early musical influences, the emotional depth of storytelling through sound, and the joy of bridging classical and contemporary music. It’s a perfect send-off for the season—celebrating Norwegian artistry, musical unity, and timeless creativity.
The song we made “Sju&TrædveMil" comes out Friday November 21st, listen here.
