Recap & Synopsis

Listen this week as I bring back my good friend and fellow Jesus-adventurer Rob Wilkerson. Last time Rob and I tackled the topic of the grace of God and our identity. Our chat last time was one of my most listened to episodes. However this time, Rob and I talk very honestly and organically about his recent adventure in and out of the traditional church model as what’s been termed “the phenomenon of the Dones”.

Here, Rob and I not only define some basic terms in Christianity including church, gospel, kingdom, mission but also share his story from being called into the ministry at a young age to being sued by a church for his theology to eventually becoming one of “the Dones”, those who are done with church as we know it but not Jesus and the kingdom. Rob does not like labels anymore than I do. In fact, he does not self-identity as a Done. But for the purpose of our chat, it’s helpful to know where he is coming from. Ultimately, you’ll hear a real story about a real guy who has gone through a real adventure with his family and Jesus.

I know you’ll be not only filled with empathy for what Rob and his family have been through but also hopeful for how his story seems to be ending up.

Enjoy. Share. But most of all. Do something with it.

*The following downloadable document contains the questions I used to prepare Rob and I for a smooth and organic flow of dialogue. I hope it helps you as a roadmap for our chat and a way to go back and see where we were going. Enjoy it. Share it.
