She also lives with a disability that is the result of a spinal cord injury she sustained when she was two years old. Ali shares her anxious part - one that is universal to the human experience, but that has been informed by a loss of control that few can relate to. Ali shares that her particular experience of isolation and the anxiety that resulted is best overcome through connection - to her work, her voice, her community, and her friends and family.
