The story behind this golf course is incredible, with the local community refusing to let it shut despite plans from the council, leading to a charitable trust and volunteers now running the course. From starting with zero in the bank account to now providing jobs for the local community, it's a great story on how far people will go to save a place they truly love ✨
We had the pleasure of playing Dalmuir just weeks after it reopened, and immediately we could see how important this place is to their members. In a time when a lot of golf courses are struggling, and often facing closure, it prompts a conversation as to what clubs can do to ensure longevity and a successful future ⛳️
