Ep84: Memorial is for the Fallen
Description
Memorial Day is a day to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday originated after the Civil War and was originally known as Decoration Day. The original intent was to decorate graves with flowers and flags, but over time it evolved into a day for picnics, parades and other activities.
Today, Memorial Day is celebrated as an opportunity for Americans to honor those who have given their lives in defense of our nation.
