EPISODE 12! I caught a vibe. The Music coming out of the U.K, is absolutely phenomenal, but that doesn't go without mentioning the roots of the music. The afrobeat scene, I've been a fan for sometime, looking beyond the smash hits from the likes of Wizkid, Burna Boy, etc, we dive into deeper cuts of the Afro sound. I absolutely love the use of the live instruments in the production, the music is so sophisticated that you can almost always catch a vibe to it. I discovered afroswing by listening to artists such as Kojo Funds, Yxng Bane, Krept & Konan, etc. Afroswing is a genre which blends different facets of music such as dancehall, afrobeats, hip-hop. The "Swing," is based upon the fact that it swings between different genres of music, thus creating its own genre of music. I had so much fun recording this, and I hope you have fun listening.
