Description

Season 2 of Novel Targets kicks off with an episode on the Cancer Immunity Cycle.

Back in 2013, Genentech scientists Drs Daniel Chen and Ira Mellman (pictured) published a paper in the journal Immunity: “Oncology meets Immunology: the cancer-immunity cycle.”

It’s become a seminal paper and is frequently cited as a framework to help understand cancer immunotherapy and where the rate-limiting steps to target are.

In this episode, you’ll hear Drs Chen and Mellman talk about the Cancer Immunity Cycle. It was recorded in the studios of WWNO New Orleans public radio during the 2016 annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).

This podcast episode was produced thanks to sponsorship from Genentech.

Please note we made an independent editorial decision to do a talk show with Drs Chen and Mellman, not because they work for Genentech, but because they are recognized experts in the field. They are both frequent presenters at major medical and scientific meetings on the latest developments in cancer immunotherapy.

We’ve put a link to the Cancer Immunity Cycle paper (open access) in the show notes at NovelTargets.com if you want to download it and follow along.
