Our first tennis episode and we revisit the 2001 Wimbledon Championships.
In this episode, Akhil Bangia and I look back at the amazing story of Goran Ivanišević and his incredible run to the Wimbledon Championship. In doing so, we cover some of the greatest tennis athletes of that generation including Sampras, Agassi, Rafter, Capriati, Williams and Henin.
We also look at the changing nature of the game with the emergence of more base-line players and the slow death of serve and volley. We finish off by discussing whether this could be made into a movie and debating the need for more team tennis.
