Episode 13 - Tactics in tournament football, more of the same and what next for African teams?
Description
Leon, Ade, and I recorded this week's Box to Box Podcast and we were watching the Brazil vs South Korea game at which point it was already 4-0. There was an interesting debate on this week's podcast, namely about the heritage of footballers and where next for African teams. We've seen them go out of the tournament et again and Morocco holding the sole flag for Africa vs Spain which looks like it's going one way if I'm honest. I hope I am wrong. We also touched on the tactics that we're seeing in the World Cup. Do you have to be a wizard to manage a team? Look at Southgate, Deschamps, LVG, etc all bringing something different to the table. Lastly, we also wanted to discuss, do players owe anything to African teams and their heritage or doest the continent needs to shift towards developing its own academy stars and leagues.
