In this episode we begin a four part series on the song "Be Thou My Vision." We review the history of the song as well as the first verse, along with its supporting scriptures. The song "Be thou My Vision" was inspired and influenced by one of the most recognized people of all time. This person even has his own national holiday where the color green and shamrocks are the icon of the day. Although many celebrate this day by drinking green beer and looking for the opportunity to pinch someone who is not wearing the color green, few know the real story of the holiday's namesake and impetus for the song “Be Thou My Vision”. He was an author and christian missionary to the Irish, St Patrick.
