Description
Bobby Jordan enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Seahawks men's basketball program after joining the team in June of 2019.
Following his playing career at Drexel, Jordan become part of the Dragons coaching staff, first as an operations assistant for two years and then as assistant coach for three seasons.
Jordan assisted head coach James “Bruiser” Flint in leading the Dragons to a 29-6 record as they won the 2010 CAA Regular Season Championship and an automatic bid to the NIT Quarterfinals. Working extensively with the Drexel guards, Jordan developed both a first-Team All -CAA selection and a CAA Rookie of The Year.
Jordan also earned a reputation as a top recruiter for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) program. Ranked as a top-five assistant coach in the CAA by NextupRecruits, Jordan played a major role in Drexel landing the CAA's top recruiting class in 2013 according to Hoopscoop.
Jordan arrives on Grymes Hill following one season at the prestigious IMG Academy as head basketball coach. He led the Ascenders to a 26-4 record and saw four players sign with Division 1 schools, along with five others signing on to play college basketball.
Prior to IMG; Jordan served as head coach at Philadelphia area prep school Girard College. He guided the Cavaliers to a 23-6 record and an appearance in the 2017 Penn-Jersey League Finals, as three of his players went onto sign with Division 1 schools.
Jordan graduated from Drexel University in 2009 with a degree in Sport Management. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife Kate and daughters Mackenzie (2) and Madison (1).
